The Damah Film Festival
is more than just an event; it's a diverse community
that’s passionate about the style of filmmaking
that sheds light on the spiritual experience.
Damah looks to create unique events that foster
a true sense of community. Our past events have
featured Panel Discussions, Workshops, Interactive
Screenings and Q&As, all designed to stimulate
discussion and provide a platform for spiritual
expression. We use this website, e-mails and newsletters
to help our community stay connected throughout
the year.
The Damah Film Festival exists to platform the filmmaker
as well as the films created. There are no egos, no
over-commercialization or soliciting. Damah workshops,
panels and parties create an organic environment for
filmmakers to begin dialog and showcase their films
on equal footing.
The burgeoning community of passionate filmmakers,
storytellers and artists that was birthed at our inaugural
festival in 2001 has taken root and spread through touring
events at locations such as the Corcoran Art Gallery
in Washington, DC, the Seattle Art Museum and as far
away as the United Kingdom and Romania. Our festivals
have started a needed dialog and community experience
where lasting friendships have begun. We look forward
to what future collaborations and explorations will
yield.
This web site facilitates the
Damah Community long after the last film has screened.
We hope you’ll be a part of the Damah conversation.

"My friends
and I are all now experiencing post-Damah blues.
We were in such an amazing and inspiring place for 4
days and
now we are home, wishing we were still in that environment."
