place to be at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Damah
in Park City:: Jan. 16-23, 2004
Damah brought 55 of their award-winning short
films to the center of the independent film world. Damah’s
filmmakers received amazing exposure as their films challenged,
captivated and transformed the Sundance audiences.
Amidst
the bizarre mix of Indie-Icons and A-list Hollywood Stars,
Damah carved out a niche by offering an offbeat blend of
spirituality and short films. Screenings were held at The
Main Street Mall, directly across from The Egyptian Theatre,
Sundance’s primary venue.
Damah promoters hit the sub-zero
streets every 90 minutes to call filmgoers into the Damah
spiritual experience. As they called out to passers-by, their
breath leaving little spots of fog hanging in the mountain
air, a steady stream of curious filmgoers was drawn in to
the Damah venue to take in these powerful films.
Filmgoers
also perused the Damah-Labrys Art Gallery, a collection of
startling photographs and modern paintings. Damah is already
making plans to return to Sundance in 2005! |
